St. Ephrem’s parish hosted the first-ever “Swish for Kids” basketball tournament Dec. 27-29 to raise money for children coping with pediatric cancer.
In total, 12 Catholic youth teams from Brooklyn entered one of three divisions.
The St. Francis College men and women’s basketball teams participated in an instructional program on the first day of the tournament, which put smiles on all the children’s faces.
The event is expected to expand in future years.
