Former MLB Catcher Fighting Parkinson’s Starts Faith-based Blog

Ben PetrickBen Petrick had the tools to be the next Johnny Bench when he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies.

However, the young catcher contracted Parkinson’s disease at just 22 years old, which cut his baseball playing career short.

He underwent two brain surgeries, and his conditioned has improved. He maintains a blog, “Faith in the Game,” where he shares inspirational stories of athletes displaying their faith.
