St. Joseph’s Baseball Gearing Up for Playoffs

Fresh off a berth in the United States Collegiate Association’s Small College World Series from last year, the St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn baseball team is ready for another deep postseason run.

The Bears are made up of mostly local players, so the team’s chemistry is one of its many strengths.

IHM Hoops Takes a Charge Against Cancer

The Immaculate Heart of Mary basketball program hosted the second annual “Taking a Charge Against Cancer” hoops tournament to support the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

The weekend included a visit from Brooklyn streetball legend Jack “Black Jack Ryan” and a game between the IHM coaches and alumni against firefighters from Engine 240 of the FDNY.

Brooklyn Diocesan Priests Ring in Mets Opening Day

March 31 was Opening Day for the 2014 New York Mets, and while the final result wasn’t ideal, that didn’t stop priests and bishops from the Diocese of Brooklyn from cheering on the team they love.

It may be a long season in Flushing, but it’s nice to know that the team at least has a bit of divine intervention on it’s side.
